Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa
Celebration filled the air as MAHSA University celebrated “Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa” on 18th September 2017 in conjunction with the National Day and Malaysia Day.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Dr. Khairul Anuar bin Abdullah officiated the event and shared the history of Malaysia and the nation’s journey beyond Merdeka. Management, students and staff of MAHSA University came together in a jubilant celebration and enjoyed a day of festivities and fun-filled activities.
Students from various faculties donned their traditional costumes and took to the catwalk for the Traditional Costumes Parade. The Traditional Costume Parade was a reminder of how beautiful and unique each culture is and yet how beautifully they all come together. This was followed by the MAHSA Merdeka Idol, where students showcased their many talents, performing various acts from singing, modern dancing, traditional dancing and playing traditional musical instrument.
A special poster exhibition by the students of Malaysian Studies and a photography gallery depicting scenes of Malaysia was held at The Spine. Students and staff also thronged the food carnival, where students prepared various local and international delicacies.
The event ended later in the day with another fun activity, the Zumba, a dance workout to the theme of Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa.
